It warms the body and this can also promote healthy sweating which is often helpful during the early stage of colds and flus. Ginger contains anti-inflammatory compounds called gingerols. It helps to reduce the arthritic pain if it is consumes regularly. Ginger is also great for digestion and motion sickness.
How to make ginger tea
4-6 thin slices raw ginger
1 1/2-2 cups water
Juice from 1/4 lemon, or to taste
1-2 tbsp honey or agave nectar, or to taste
